I'm interested in seeing how author is going to move the story when the government tries to use mc, because come on, there is no way they won't try to make use of mc.
That's what I thought too. Sure, there have been some rather grim and cruel internet memes - like 'an hero' for example - but this seems over the top. Even if the internet was joking about it, which is possible but unlikely we're supposed to believe that people would be gathering at the site of this tragedy and publicly screwing around mocking the dead like that?unbelievable that the person “Kento Kokubun” would be made a massive mockery of after what happened at the school and his family
I only reply you for the sake of it but adding all would be huge no-no(edit: so many reply boxes is a no-no), so this is for almost everyone...(Whole paragraph got deleted so this is a re-write)That's what I thought too. Considering we make fun of people that are about to be hit by trucks for getting "isekai'd", I would see this as being similar to what plays out here. I just don't get why HE was singled out, out of the 48 other people. That's what I thought too. Ah, I just wanna point out I'm not American.Edit PS: Could you Americans stop with left wing this right wing this etc.? Your bad and mostly evil "official" translations are why we all are here. You already contribute for the worse of it. Don't make forums even worse with YOUR stupid politics. Please...
In the book, it was a specific lookalike who claimed to be him and got the cops and media talking about it, and it took more than a week to verify. That's what made Kento famous, the other copycats were inspired by that first one. The mangaka failed to adequately explain.People making a mockery of big events that they weren't directly impacted by can be an interesting idea but holy shit it was so poorly told. At first I thought the mom somehow knew what happened to Kokubun and she tried to tell everyone but fell into depression because the media made a fool of her or something and committed suicide.
Turns out the people roleplaying on the road was because of isekai fanatics that tried to connect a misfortunate accident to a "fun" theory.
Really badly told for a sound idea.
It's because what his mother did. That stabbing would been on the news alone, but with the overlapping with the disappearance of a whole level of a school building the story was most probably blown up by the media, echoing the MC's name.Considering we make fun of people that are about to be hit by trucks for getting "isekai'd", I would see this as being similar to what plays out here. I just don't get why HE was singled out, out of the 48 other people.
Kento's little half sister, never appears unfortunately. Yuika's little sister does tho.Apparently Kento has a half-sibling. I wonder if that is ever relevant to the story.
Take the dad joke you like most:Ah, I just wanna point out I'm not American.I'm their neighbor to the north that they're trying to piss off and y'know, threaten with annexion. So I apologize if giving them their just desserts gets on your nerves.

It was real. The mangaka failed to adapt the proper explanation: Someone who looks like Kento went in to police claiming to be him and have been isekaid. The father, not knowing how to explain what happened to the mother, took more than a week to verify the identity, during which media speculated.I'm still confused, was that a nightmare? Hallucinations? Why were they saying his name? Also who's the bikini warrior on the cover?
