You're welcome! Yep, it's different from the web novel. I guess the web novel and manga have different dialogues for the characters. :pepehmm:

Kento is asking Kizawa to not say anything rude to Marianne.
I was saying it doesn't match with what she was saying, she wasn't saying anything rude in the translated manga panel. I didn't phrase it well.

Fantranslation goes:

"Oba-san, you're hard to talk to ..."
"Hey, Marianne-san is the captain of the garrison and the wife of the lord Klaus-san, so don't be rude."
"Hmm ... is that right ..."

But yeah, her being rude first might have been cut. The author was sloppy plenty adapting changes (especially Yuika's maid).

You might think that already happened with their imprisonment and treatment at the hands of Camila and her trash kingdom. (this would apply for the dudes as well). Yeah you could make a case for that one Hero who got treated a lot better being a prick after being brought to Volzard. Which would seem like a downgrade after getting rescued for the Hero.

For the others that harsh experience should have humbled them a little bit and made them way more grateful to Kento who bailed their sorry asses out. Yet they still chimp out and treat Kento like shit. Like bruh why are you challenging a dude that saved your sorry asses, wields considerable magic power which you have witnessed personally and went out his way to prepare facilities for hundreds of people in a strange country.
probably denial (for other the hero guy). since they still can't accept being brought to hardship life. they trying to blame anything to copes.
that why they need a good amount of reality check and slap back to the world. not just by experience it, but also need someone to say it to them. that why when the Lord madam brought it to them they finally have no choice but to face it.

I never understood the myth of salamandra being fire aligned, they are literaly amphibians...
You know, the animals that cant function without shitloads of water...?
Part of it comes from folklore where they have been seen crawling out of logs that were used as firewood, creating a story that were "born in fire"

Lol, who knew logic would work on these girls? At least it wasn't up to Kento to solve it. Plus he looked like he was about to snap like he did with Takayama and the guys

a new poke- err i mean
A new familiar to his collection!
That's definitely the one I'd have caught in a pokeball, but in a real world it wouldn't be a good idea to bring home a massive dinosaur that's on fire...wooden buildings all around.

Fire salamanders are like lava fish, it's the fire element version.

Better now than later I suppose. But there's another batch of possible dumb-dumbs he's gonna rescue, hopefully the previous rescues could act and show them the ropes instead of everyone relying on Kento once again.
Hopefully, them being adults, since he seems to be rescuing the teachers next, they are more reasonable than his classmates.

Marianne is way ahead of Klaus.
Patience, big boobs, intelligence and compassion… damn.
Her assertiveness is on another level, it really takes a high IQ to pull it off.

It's clear why she's the lord's wife. Klaus really had it good.
She's officially my favorite character by far. :meguupog:
Ya know, I was thinking. I think this series follows a convention: The older a major female character is, the better she treats Kent.

We've got Kory (Pharmacist) and Reece (Guild master), being ancient. They give great life advice and, respectively, try to set up Kent with Muel, and flirt with him.

Next down in age, we've got Marianne.

Certainly, amongst Kent's primary love interests, the oldest is kindest (would rather jump on a sword than disrespect him), and the second oldest is the least likely to pinch or scold him out of the remainder.

Once they're all rescued, the teachers are gonna have a hell of a time berating everyone after they learn how their savior has been treated

Marianne is truly motherly in all forms. Caring, teacher and curvy.
You can almost feel how thick the condescension is; she's almost smug in page 17. And she essentially just says: "You're dependents, useless, narrowmindedly think there's only the possibility of returning, grow the fuck up, and your problems are petty compared to waves of monsters"
all in a polite, explanatory way with her T&A practically exposed.

Ahhh thanks for the context. I get you now, you're referring to the sentence before that.

I actually wished the dialogue followed the web novel more closely. It's meant to be sarcastic, but "なかなか話分かんじゃん.." doesn't quite capture that tone.

I have tried my best and changed it to "Not bad, you can understand after all..." hopefully this version smooths out the phrasing while keeping the original meaning intact. :wooow:

Yeah, I think most of the readers are too old to put up with the stuff the 13-14 year olds are throwing around, and it just ends up annoying everyone.

But when the characters are closer to our age, everything feels so much more natural and calming. :pacman:

Gods at this point his classmates being little brats is starting to feel manufactured. Sure I get the ones in jail being jerks because one of them was treated like a hero, but everyone else got to experience terrible conditions during training. There really shouldn't be this much ungratefulness.

It just feels like the author is making them bratty just so that we see the MC in a better light and encourage him to stay.

Those classmates who are whining and refusing to work, just cut off their funding and see how they're doing in three days. It's as simple as that
