Did she seriously compare how domestic chickens produce eggs to the cockatrice? If I understood it correctly, the chickens we have now lay those insane amount of eggs because we bred them that way.

Wait a moment. How did she get mayonnaise from just beating an egg? Mayonnaise is an emulsion of oil, egg yolk, and vinegar. She only used one egg, and not only that, she used the whole egg which is not typical for Japanese style Mayo.

Lol, I thought she was simply scrambling the egg...

And you can't get mayo by just simply beating it. Was the author so adamant about introducing mayo that they forgot to look up how it's made?

I thought she was scrambling an egg too. I haven't looked into making mayo but even I know it is more than whipped up egg...

im not rly fond of mayo (tho i'm sure magic /tools might fill in a gap) but some kinda egg yolk sauce like Hollandaise might have its appeal, although i can imagine it'd need to be cooked versus ppl being 'ok' with eating a raw egg (tho i've heard korean/kewpie mayo is kinda diff? Tho the 'mayo butter' on viet banh mi isn't that appealing to me either even tho it's seemingly made without vinegar like most mayo but even then i'd prefer butter over like mayo spread on a sandwich)
