They're talking about the rice, they might do more with the wheat and other grains, but for Japanese audiences they need to treat the rice especially bad.

Has anyone wondered how Rofus stocks the potion vending machine with bread and potatoes? For that matter what are the kids supposed to do with a raw potato if no one cooks. And how does the bread not mold or go stale? Also, how are they getting white rice, I thought that to make white rice you have to really polish it which is difficult and so the Japanese people mostly ate brown rice back in ancient times and white rice was seen as a delicacy. Brown rice is difficult to make onigiri with since it is not as sticky.
