If I had to guess, I imagine she'll only get caught out when she has to use a magic item or identifying scanning spell that reveals her real age.

It has been far too long for her to not announce that she is married (although planning to divorce) or her age, at this point she is hiding it since there were so many conversations she could fit those in. And she doesn't seem to act like she would mind if they found out. She must like being treated like a child.
Just a note about "the Hikaru Genji plan"...
The Tale of Genji is about Hikaru Genji's romantic exploits, but this particular line references the love of his life, Murasaki. He found her as a young girl and raised her to be his ideal woman.
So in this chapter they were talking about her getting adopted, but then potentially becoming a wife anyways after growing up.
Additional note that isn't pertinent to this chapter: Genji raised Murasaki because she looked like his mom/stepmom who he had an Oedipus complex for. (Insert 'ew brother' sound)
It's also worth mentioning that Tale of Genji is debatably the world's first modern novel (or at least the East's if Don Quixote is counted as a novel in the West) and was written by a woman!
While Genji does not match up to any romantic standards today, he was written as a desirable gentleman for that time. Written by a woman for women. (I kind of imagine the ladies of the Heian court as Twihards of their day, passing around the new chapter and fangirling over Genji's exploits.)

It's frustrating that we know the MC's situation, but she isn't comfortable telling anyone at all, under any circumstances, anything more than her name... and they continue to act like she is 12.
Now, if she wants them to think she is 12, that's fine.

So, uh, nothing to do with the acfual story plot, but about the Genji plan. It's called a "plan" because it's not just "a man happens to fall in love with his adopted daughter". It's literally "a man adopts or becomes a guardian to a younger woman with the purposeful intention of marrying her later".
It references the protagonist of Tale of Genji, Hikaru Genji. The way it works in the novel is wild. Hikaru Genji is in love with his stepmother, but was refused. Then at some point he sees Murasaki, a young girl who looks a lot like his stepmother. So he decided to "adopt" the girl, with the intention of making her his wife. To make things even more insane, Murasaki is actually a relative of the stepmother that Genji was attracted to, which explains the resemblance.
The author, who is a woman, apparently intends this to be actually seen as a romantic development, but well... It's worth noting that even in the novel text itself the other characters thought it was weird that Genji (who was 18) is interested in a 10 year old girl, and her grandma even literally said "let's wait a few more years".
Anyway, putting this as a reference like this kinda makes the MC's situation of being mistaken for a kid just even more not funny IMO.
