Well, that is how his skills work, unless the opponent is straight up immune, like the goddess, all MC needs is to the enemy to get in range with the guard down, then spawn paralyze and every status ailments know to man.

Eingrantz is second only to the Demon King. Inner Circle demons give a toooon of EXP.
Also that's one of the reason why the first battle against the Demon King Army generally decides the rest of the war. The Heroes gain a ton of stats and levels.

for now, levels only works to unlock new abilities, remember that he got sleep over 1000 and berserk over 2000 I think (with the monster train).
