2 types of "subordinate glazing their master's rage"
- you should NOT have angered him because he's kind and he will be swift (Rimiru)
- you should NOT have angered him because he's kind and he WILL NOT be swift (this guy)
Maybe it's just me being paranoid, but in fantasy stories, don't relax until you make sure that body is no longer twitching, and the head has ceased to speak.
So what you're telling me there's going to be a fight in the future that's going to take like 3-4x as long compared to every other fight cause we need "stakes" and the story will go oh how will the MC win now?
I was hoping this series wouldn't come down to that issue. Another series I followed with a strong MC just did this trap and the manga got stuck for like a year's worth of manga chapter releases just covering the fight.
It's just actual agony for pacing. If people want that sort of "high stakes" (even though you know MC will win in the end anyways) fighting, they should stick with Shounen genre stuff with releases that have a weekly chapter schedule.
When it's monthly, dragged out fights are total suffering to follow.
what series?? I remember this one and Niito (the one where the MC revived when they got isekai'd) did the same mistake with an arc of a monster invasion that took more than a year where the MCs are so broken that they could solve the fight but we got waiting for eons.
or we're getting a fight that will take much longer than that?... but at least it would be a fight with the MC.
I'm kind of hoping one of them has some resistance (not immunity) to status ailments. This would give MC some experience in either working around the resistance or evolving the skill to be better equipped when dealing with the goddess. Not that I want a prolonged battle with these guys but some extra suffering for them would be fine.
