I think the novel has the advantage over the manga during this scene. it really plays up how fearful they are inside the barrier, especially after Touka appears right behind them. Then it goes in depth to show how far off their sense of values have skewed before Touka denies their existence and kills them. It's Touka's most flawless victory in the series where the enemies are fully helpless to fight back
