Vysis is immune to status ailments, if memory serves. That's why Touka can't do much against her. I believe he needs the forbidden spell to remove that immunity. With the immunity removed, Vysis is afraid of status ailments, which is why she was so eager to get rid of Touka. Though I have probably forgotten some details or misremember them, so maybe I'm grossly wrong here.
i don't think it was explained why Vysis disposed of Touka to begin with. i think she just concluded that Touka is weak, and i suppose there wasn't any other heroes in the past who only had Abnormal Status Skills -- it seems to be common knowledge that Abnormal Status Skills are generally useless due to low success rate, making Touka an extreme outlier with 100% success rate on his skills... unless his target is immune, that is.

Vysis has always been working on eliminating the Kurosagas (and Erika Anarveil), but i guess it's a mystery why it took her that long to get to this point lol... i guess on that point, once Vysis caught wind of Angrin's (spelling?) research into forbidden spells, she disposed of him.

Must have been my conjecture only, then. But who knows. Perhaps in the distant past abnormal status skills were a big deal, but Vysis (and maybe others) erased their true power from history. If those skills were their worst weakness, aside from the forbidden spells themselves, it would make sense. Vysis most certainly wouldn't reveal this to anyone or even give them any hints. If she had killed Touka on the spot with extreme prejudice, the smartest people around would have guessed there was something strange going on. But calling Touka weak and useless, then exiling him, would make the others, on the contrary, only concentrate on weakness being bad news and something to be avoided, not so much on what hidden potential Touka might actually have.

The official excuse she gave was because he was Rank E. Rank E heroes take forever and a half to level up to the C-, B-, A- and S-tier heroes that were in his class. Everyone had a low opinion of him (low rank, background mob character and all) and didn't need more than that to see him get thrown into the dungeon. Rank E heroes need to be fed monsters constantly to rank up anywhere near the upper tiers. Touka got lucky that the dungeon he got thrown in was filled with golden eyes and that final dungeon boss who were worth a crap ton of exp points. Plus his little rampage through the forest meant that his Level is in the thousands but he is still physically worse off than the upper tiers who are in the low 100s. His only exceptional stat is magic.

Of couse, Vysis knew he could inflict abnormal statuses as his skill but she didn't make that big a deal of it because of the Forbidden Word tribe being able to dispel her bubble and Touka being her kryptonite if that ever happened.

Edit - Just reread some of the earlier chapters and his first kill in the Disposal Ruins was a chicken (cockatrice) which saw him jump from lvl 1 to 258. His stats increased linearly by +3 for everything but MP which increased by +33 per level.

i'd hazard a guess that she didn't expect his skills to have 100% success rate. cuz otherwise, chucking him into the disposal ruins where all he has to do is say "paralyze" before anything touches him is literally just feeding him exp points, as we've seen :p

Why'd Yasu get jumped again? Did they just get sick of his shit?
iirc goddess decided he's useless (got too cocky and got a few fingers sliced off, ran with his tails between his legs afterwards) and let the sixth cavalry do whatever they want to him.

I feel like the MC wank has been getting out of hand lately. Everyone from this place can't get enough of him. Wasn't he supposed to be an average member of the class? He was just secretly a ladykiller with chiseled abs and hung?
Being level 2k could have helped him
