Well, he already has. He has his Beelzebub-mask name and Hati Skoll, it's just that neither of those names would hold value in telling the classmates, only his real name. He's just commenting on how he can't show himself to them till he finds the skill, he's not really specifically talking about needing a new name.
I guess I'm commenting on how his companions know him by and use his real name, even within a few panels of him saying that person needs to stay dead. How much better would it have been if Eve had a different name in her mind when asked about him and could have given that when pressed instead of just trying to hold back to keep from revealing his existence?

TBH, Slow spells have many incarnations, so it's a good idea to check how it behaves. =/ You got standard slow that only affects 1 target, but what he has is basically Mass/AoE Slow. (edit: I would add that it's more like a donut shaped AoE)
nah that's not it. Every other spell he has is a single target debuff, so when he gets something different he's surprised
He's got brain cells. They're just affected by the slow skill as well.
It could be an effective escape power if all else fails. There are also times when the power up is a let down.
