@summers It’s confusing because it is based on a novel, which you can read in the link I shared above. The manhua has to cut out a lot of details and explanations to save time and due to censorship. If you want to understand the full story, you have to read the novel.

This is an ongoing manhua, but the scanslators for manhua doesn’t really have a set update schedule😅😅 If you end up being desperate for spoilers, you can read the completed novel it’s based off of (tian guan Ci fu) on novel updates. It’s a great read, even if you’re not the reading type. There’s also gonna be a donghua coming out for it on Halloween which will probably end up catching up quick

I read this manhua at a snail's pace because the art is so gorgeous I have to just stare at it, and then go back and stare at it some more to really absorb it. Its truly fitting for the gods and ghosts theme.

I'm glad that they aren't trying to rush through the story like manhua adaptations of novels too often seem to do, I like the slow pace
