I just realized where this setup is going. Yuusei is a super fan from their idol days. He's going to give Souko some poignant compliments about her time as an idol. Which will stab her inferiority complex right in the heart, extreme validation. It's the perfect storm for her to fall for him.

Yeah, I feel a lot more for Souko than Sumire. At this point it looks like Sumire's plight is her own damn fault while Souko seems to have been delt a bad hand.

You know, for a gag comedy manga, it never really made me laugh. But Souko running away from Sumire at the end of the chapter? That finally did it. I’d run away too if I met Sumire—she's nothing but trouble.
