It's understandable since the son will have a fairly secure future, good wage, good food, good quality of life, ect, just sucks that he didn't ask for his son's opinion

Seriously... Too much is skipped...
In the novel it takes a whole volume until mc leave his village. And it's shortened to only 4 chapters...
Put aside grinding side where not much people would like to read, i hope there is at least a whole chapter that dedicated to explain mc abilities...

and some of the skills were explained in the official TL. they basically added a footnote
