Historical medieval nobles ate meat and drank wine at every meal, from breakfast til dinner. This diet was a status symbol. It was also extremely unhealthy and all nobles suffered from Gout, Hemorrhoids, and constipation. The wealthiest had to be carried from room to room because their gout made them unable to walk. Gout is still known as King's disease.
