There's one I've had that's similar to another manga on here that's about a boy who asks an Oni girl to kill him because he's an Orphan and so he thinks that if he's a sacrifice, then he'll at least be respected. But she decided not to do that and they gradually fall in love, but she wants him to stay young so goes on a quest to find a magical item to restore him to his youth.

Another one is the story of a man moving into a haunted building because the rent's cheap, and there's a ghost girl that wants to evict him but he views hopes that maybe he can somehow connect with her because he feels like he can understand her lonesomeness

These are fine premises. Trying to actually write a story based on a premise, no matter how interesting that premise may be, really shows how difficult it can be to write a decent story at the base level. I've learned that almost any premise can be made into a great story, as long as the writer knows what he's/she's doing. Interesting and unique premises do nothing but add to stories, of course.

Boy's Abyss is lit af fam, wouldn't surprise me if Tamerlame likes it for its depressing tone.

I'm very interested in the characters and dynamics of Boy's Abyss because I think they're very complex and each has a lot of develop so far apart from his family and the author, but they're slowly developing.

Plus it's one of the only mangas I've read so far on the site that's integrated symbolism pretty well into the story.

Really, I read it by chance because I saw it mentioned somewhere and couldn't find it on mangadex, but then found it on here by chance.
Hence why I didn't leave any comments until the more recent chapters.

I was intimidated to read it at first but curiosity won over me, even though i don't really like the dark setting, i still read it, it's like when i was watching evangelion and wanted to bail on the last episodes (and in the middle of the movie too) but i still wanted to know what would happen next. I may be naive, but i don't like sad endings lol.

Really I don't mind sad endings if it fits the theme of the story. Hell, I think sometimes a sad ending is the best thing for a story because it has the most staying power, or at least a bitter-sweet ending.

Ironically, there's some story I really like, which is an Absurdist novel by Albert Camus that's called "L'Etranger" or "The Stranger." which is about a man named Meursault who has difficulty empathizing with people. Ultimately, the novel is about

who we judge people and are own circumstances in our lives, as the novel opens with Meursault not being able to cry at his mother's funeral, which is later used as evidence to give him the death sentence, after being charged for shooting an Arab, though his trial barely even mentions the fact he has.

At the end, when he's just about to be taken

to the gallows,

he accepts his fate and embraces it, hoping that there'll be a large crowd of spectators waiting for him.

As an ending, I think there's an irony that to the outside observer, it seems tragic and sad, but to Meursault, he finds peace in it and realizes the absurdity of life and embraces it, freeing himself from the judgement of others.

It really is a great novel.

If it wasn't for Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, i wouldn't know about L'Etranger, because one of the characters in that game has a weapon with that name, and her song relates a little too. Huh, interesting how the world works.

Camus is interesting, I got alot from The Myth of Sysphus which is something of an addendum and well worth the read. Yes, this would make for an intesting manga!

Fuck that novel so much. It's the whole reason I will forever have the lyrics "I'm the stranger, Killing an Arab" stuck in my head.

Sounds like you've been busy, then. I don't think that an alias is entirely necessary, but it's ultimately up to you ofc. More exposure for the same name would be beneficial in my opinion. Some people may see your non-H works, look at your other stuff, and follow you mainly for your H works. And the same thing vice versa. I don't think the vast majority of readers mind when H-artists branch out, it's just that the few people who voice their preference against branching out are more noticeable because of that fact.

I made a big mistake to think about that many stories at the same time, and now it's quite a mess in my head.

Lmao, yeah I get that. Working on multiple projects of the same nature doesn't really give the same momentum as just focusing on one until it's done.

Also, if you @ me in this thread whenever you end up uploading something (or just post in the thread, I'll prob see it regardless), that'd be helpful.
