Hi!
I don´t know if this is the right place to post this thread, or if it's even allowed, but here it is anyways:
I am currently working on my BA thesis in Japanese translation, and it's about the differences between the translations in the official versions and the translation versions of Japanese Seinen scene. I would love to have contact for people working on those kind of translations, if those people are welling to help of course, to answer a couple of questions, anonymously of course, and to help me gain access to materials that I can use in my research. I am thankful for any help I can get!
I also aware that many fan translations are being removed from here as soon as an official translation is available, but is there any possibility to get some help to receive some of them for research proposes (literally in this case)?

When talking to someone, I have realized that maybe there is not enough goodwill for anyone to trust me enough to get any answers, so I decided to write a bit more information about me and my research:
My thesis is about the translation differences between fan translation and professional translation.
Since most fan translations usually gets removed as soon as an official translated version is out, it becomes almost next to impossible for me to have both versions at the same time to compare the two, and that is very difficult especially in my case since I need to look at the most recent works.
I need also to interview the translators and ask them about their work etc to understand how they work when translating, but at the same time, they shouldn't know what my main research point is about, since it might screw the results, and by hiding informations like that, that also makes it harder for the translators to trust me and actually help me with my work.
I am currently study at Dalarna University, and I can give you maybe a screenshot of the homepage of my homepage in the university and the homepage of the course (without my name of course, Doxxing myself is nothing I would like to do either). If you would like more proof and you have more ideas about it, please ask it of me.
When it comes to the anonymity of the translators, the only "personal" information I would like to receive from them are: the nickname they use as a translator, what kind of works they translated, and where they published their work, aka what should already be available online already. Any other personal information they would like to give to me, is up to them.
