I was in despair when I saw this chapter as a way to tell the past events/life of MC but then...

After reading for a couple of chapters, I got interested more and more because of how interesting the characters are in this series.

This is such a wonderful adaptation, I hope the quality won't go bad. Thanks for the translations!

Goddamn, the story from 200years ago is much more interesting than the "usual harem magic academy" vibe the present story has. Like, he was basically a god and it wasn't strange that everyone was going "sasuga my lord" left and right. Guy really helped the village with his miracle magic (even if it was just to let a certain horny housewife fully explore her kinks).
Now seeing the same behaviour from a friggin' princess of all things is jarring (even if we count on the ancient blood still flowing inside her), same with her guard. I think the series would be a little better had we had more of the current family interaction before we go full academy arc. At least Marthas relationship is fun and feels quite normal compared to the others.

It doesn't really make sense for even a weakened agelessness to pass down the family line from someone that didn't receive his blood. We'd have to also assume that Alice gave blood to her siblings, but that's maybe why the effect was weaker. It's too large a leap to make with the information available, and relies on other assumptions.

For instance, we could say that vampire stories offer prior precedence for scenarios like that, with different vampire bloodlines being thinner further from the source. But that's also a relatively baseless assumption as of now because the main character is similar to but not exactly a vampire in the same way as the ones from those stories.
