Whoa, reincarnation mechanics aside, how did the villagers just let a little girl sacrifice herself? How did they know and confirm that it would reincarnate her, and not like one of those rare chances? I wonder what kind of chain of thoughts they have to conclude that this Alice girl will get to be reincarnated if she gets stabbed to death with the sword. Also, why did the parents support the decision to "kill and reincarnate" their daughter? I don't get it. This is so messed up lol

It is crazy how, with little to no confirmation on whether or not their lord not only reincarnated but also that Alice would be judged worthy enough to be able to be reincarnated, they let her essentially kill herself one year after his death. I wonder if they maybe just realized how distraught and in love she was that either they both reincarnated together or they just both went to the afterlife together.
