Oh man this is much easier to read than the previous scanlation. No shade to the other group though cuz it's a lotta work and I appreciate the effort.

I'm more than happy to read the uploads from the other group for new releases but it's nice to have a better quality version of previously released chapters.

Sniping is when a new group releases a new chapter before the old group, taking the bulk of readers and comments (and potentially the source of the old group's motivation).

Uploading new scanlations from the beginning isn't out of the ordinary. The only "problem" with it is that the effort could theoretically go into a series that doesn't have a translation at all, but you can't really redirect inspiration and passion that way. This new group is named after this specific story, and their credits page at the end says they are a fan of the original novel and want to make sure a high quality translation is available

don't let the comments deter you from scanlating this btw, the quality is great!
there's no rule that 2 groups could scanlate one title, especially if the other group provided a better version(Which is normal btw) and even in cases where the quality is good for both, interpretations with translations or sometimes things that were missed during the translation of one group can be supplemented by the other(not that there was any of the sort here)
