So, my biggest criticisms for these series where the antagonist is also a reincarnator is how the antagonist always gets outplayed at every stage. Like it would make for an actual subversion if the second reincarnator were the more genre savvy of the two and actually new the game details in and out. But that goes against the power fantasy.

For those wondering what the reincarnator girl's goal is IIRC the giant barrier protecting the country was made by turning the first Saintess into a living sacrifice. It is sustained by offering up Saintesses and the reincarnator girl's goal is to bring down the country for treating lives as disposable. She isn't gathering the artifacts for herself. She's gathering them to be destroyed/sealed as part of her plan. Also she is a total misandrist who hates men for being incapable of doing anything but listening to the brain downstairs, the capture targets of the game being so easily manipulated by her reinforces this belief.
She's just a little too cruel with her methods. I believe she
even replaced the original heroine by running her over by the carriage so she won't become saintes and be sacrificed. But I still fail to understand why she's so bad with "villainess". And why she didn't cooperate with MC in bringing down this rotten country

You know what? Something about this evil heroine feels...fascinating.

Bitch still has to go down, but it feels like there's more to her than just selfish indulgence in Otome tropes.

The audacity of this Ragna guy to kill the hostile demon that appeared right in front of him. How dare he ruin my plans with his self-defense trickery?

I mean she is self aware (as a reincarnator) so i wouldn't count it as incest. Mentally, she is a completely separate entity. She is insane though. That much is obvious.

Doesn't make it any better addressing each other as bro and sis, regardless the context

While i agree about antagonist somehow always out played by protagonist. This time, it is the first time protag clash with antagonist, he is unknown variable on her plan. Who know how she handle it next time.

About subversion and power fantasy it depend though. There is manga about two reincanator, the mc is know how the game work inside out, and at the end she crush the other reincanantor completely is not that a power fantasy?

we call that mana transfer here

...anyways,

exterminatus?
I mean incest debate or not, if you're called Ptolemy I doubt you're against incest

Ok so to summarize in the end she's completely justified in her motives but a complete bigot about it too is a big spoiler though so thank you for using spoiler tags properly, a lot of people here don't seem to do that

I take back what I said about her being justified, potentially killing someone to stop them from being killed is pretty stupid as well as shitty

I mean sure the evil reincarnator is a reused trope, but a calculating and smart one— with a desire to destroy the world?! She even realized he's a reincarnator too and is planning accordingly... I wonder where she's coming from...

We might actually have an interesting villain in our hands compared to the stereotypical "it should've been me!" type of villain that runs on envy and spite...

Whoa.. this villain is actually scary
I wonder what happened to her as she is a reincarnator but seems like hating this world more than anyone

What's with all the newbs/innocents here?

It's Japan - if there's a brother/sister pair in the story, then the chances of brocon and/or siscon is at least 50%.

Japan: First cousin marriage is legal in the entire country.
And it has occurred at high levels too (e.g. Prime Minister level). Most that you can say is that it's less popular than it used to be.
