... Are people stupid or is there just a massive case of reading incomprehension?

The collar thing has been a theme for a long while. Why did people suddenly become up and arms about it?

Also, the kiss thing? It was shown in the earlier chapters that the other guy's sister is the one who kissed him... and is implied to be a regular thing (if not a full on kiss, then its heavy affection).

Also, the whole spiral into this thing has been already foreshadowed by them going to the academy. To be fair, they are not adults so things like this was a possibility. However, did people really think the work would not spin in the usual tropes when you have the main scope be set within an academy?

I mean, if people are expecting any deeper things, they are really barking up on the wrong genre/work. Just treat this as the generic stuff it is with moments of surprise from the author's creativity when it shines. People will be happier that way.

There is no need to always look for a Tolkien on every work.

Also, if this ain't for you, you can always drop it <3 no one is pressing a gun to your head telling you to read this, no?

These authors are super stupid. They create a somewhat interesting setting just to destroy it by converting it to the same old boring magic academy bs and add 2 to 3 other reincarnators. Disappointing.

Pretty much all of this. It especially irks me that people come in here, reading a story with certain themes, and are bitching and moaning that the story follows the typical tropes involved in those themes. It's like buying an orange and getting upset when someone tells them it's a citrus.

I like to think of 'dead internet theory' and that these aren't people commenting, but just loosely trained AIs to mimic people. I refuse to believe people can read something this short then forget everything from it.
