I spent the entire time reading this chapter trying to figure out if the lizard on Kyapi's head is alive or just a prop.

On the first page it's sitting on her head, and she points to it and introduces it as Yamo-san. On page 12 it's with her in the maid cafe's changing room, sitting to Kyapi's right, then is on her head again on page 13 in both panels where she's introducing herself to the other maids, which appears to be a continuation of the first page. It's also floating around the text box in the third panel, but that just seems like artistic license. It then vanishes when she starts serving customers and never reappears the rest of the chapter unless I'm overlooking it somewhere.

I'm still not really sure, to be honest. The fact that she appears to have left it in the dressing room implies that it's alive, because carrying a living lizard around the guest seating area of a restaurant seems like a health code violation.

pretty sure it is alive since it's drawn with a moving effect in page 1 and 12.

the real question is how do you train the lizard to be so well-behaved that you can just leave it alone and not fearing it going lost? Or maybe Kyapi just put it in a cage somewhere lol

I feel like this is the actual main plot finally kicking it.

We already learned that both maid work and regular idol work wont ever take Sera anywhere, and sister unit was always a longshot (as Sera is now anyway).

So cashing in on your mental problems by displaying them on youtube/tiktok and being an idol there seems like this mangas true aim, not a one-off gag. New girl will handle the busy-work and Sera will flourish by getting attention she couldn't in real life, by being parasocial with her internet fans. What could possibly go wrong? 🪛

Mmmhhh not quite sure what I think about Kyapi, but it feels like she only sees Sera as a business partner. Not that it is a bad thing.
It could mean a mental stability improvement for Sera, whilst still being able to sail gently with Kira.
Anyways, I'm sure the next big hurdle will be how Kira react to this new girl getting close to her sister.

Yeah, it's mentioned in page 13 that the manager took care of him during work hours.

Edit: after rereading it, it seems that she initially brought yamo with her. Manager only noticed during her introduction and somewhat panickingly took it to the back before someone could report them for health code violation.
