Hey at least the guy appeared as agreed, most people wouldn't even entertain the thought of paying the "debt". Those little trivia at the end of the chapters are really fun, the one in this chapter was really interesting on the fact that even having access to more personal locomotion techniques high-level people still like the easy of practicality that tools give.

I think Senior Sister Hua's dress is too long, couldn't even see her legs.

I never understood sects that allow magical tools in tests, it obviously makes it pay 2 win and will not accurately describe the talent of the students. any sect that doesn't equalize the field is doomed

I don’t care what they think, the girl is a piece of shit even if she tries to compensate for her actions (giving MC shitty soul beast that he’s stuck with, treating him like crap/being increasingly selfish, jeopardizing his reputation among the teachers, etc.), the merchant is a piece of shit backstabber (why tf would he even want to backstab him in the first place?!), and the sect leader is knowingly participating in corrupt practices to keep the same assholes on top while coming up with bogus arguments to give him a false sense of fairness in his actions (though he isn’t a piece of shit like the other two are)

but the merchant not so much he did play by the rule even if it wasn't morally right he still kinda is willing to compromise him for the lose

And the issues with the sect are known to the elders and pretty much disdained but they have a larger plan at play (probably no more than the leader, that other elder talking to him, and maybe the elder of Bei's clan know).

More char develop with Bei, so even her family knows/sees her relationship with Lil Mo as lovelorn. (pesky love)
Question, did the other people in the dreamland get to see the other fights inside also? Either way, she really felt bad about giving such a crap spirit to Mo earlier. About whether Mo will accept, maybe not because of his pride and all. He can also use those spirits to feed the soul inside him, right? He does need an upgrade from cute kitty to some terrifying ghoulish body horror to fit the aesthetics lolol

She seems to follow him around all the time so she probably has a general idea of just how strong he really is, and probably feels like he lost because of her.

I don't understand why some people get so riled up when a female character has some flaws or has some characteristics of a "trope" that got blown out of proportion. male characters (in other works) can be the most conniving, deceitful, evil, bastards but they will be taken as "realistic" - yeah realistic for a psycho maybe. take the character in sum just like any of the other characters here, all of them are well-done and have a some depth to them. what are you gonna say about the MC though lol is he a tsundere too?
