Is Wade Melody a mistranslation?
ウェーブ メロデェ is literally pronounced ueebu merodee or weevu melodee, where did you get the d in wade from?
Edit: thought that デェ looked weird, the small ェ making デ end in e is redundant since it already ends in e, in the raws it's an ィ (i) instead. Thanks for providing the katakana anyway, I probably sound angry but I'm thankful for you tranlating this, also stuff like seeing the japanese writing is nice to me since I'm studying japanese.
Anyway the actual translation of the MC's fake name is probably Wave Melody
Edit: no complaints anymore, but more in depth about the reasoning of the name's origin. 律 (ritsu) from ritsuko means law, but it also means pitch, it is contained in the word 旋律 (senritsu) meaning melody.
Nami from mizunami means wave.
