Ah typical japan and praising their black company shit 🤡

Its wild how shit this world is, so minors can go into a dungeon where they can potentially DIE BUT they aren't allowed to make cash and INSTEAD have to give all the reward for their hard work to the gov aka Nice THEFT

AND NOW we find out its the same SHIIT with streaming, oh your in a streaming company and have to do all the hard work BUT you make NO money and the CORP steals all your hard earned cash :shamihuh:

Yea man they lost me with this shit :haa:

Definitely a strange policy. I can see how they progressed towards it but it's worse than having no law. I mean, consider that this means the minors can gather the funds to buy better equipment which could ensure more safety while fighting against stronger monster.

That "work around" wouldn't even work though? There's all kinds of ways I can think of to get past it.

Not to mention that it'd only take one exploited kid or parent to run accounts and show just how badly they're being ripped off. All who participate in a production environment should be rewarded properly.

For the rate of pay, I don't know why they wouldn't just ditch the stuff anyway. 100 yen a kilo isn't worth hauling that kind of weight around.

Bad world building.

Of course they'd put in a loophole - it's not selling if you call it garbage disposal. Kind of like with Pachinko not being treated as gambling because it technically doesn't involve real money.

The money policies are so stupid, I don't know why they're so resistant to putting money in the hands of minors during this specific activity. She literally talks about wanting a part-time job! There are mechanisms for minors to be paid in this universe without the sky falling! If they don't want to encourage kids to do dangerous dungeon crawling, just ban the kids from the dungeons maybe?

Also, kids aren't going to pick up and carry their heavy dungeon materials for less than turning in a tin can. How often do you see kids picking up litter to turn in the empties? Exactly. So the problem wasn't even solved.

Potential fixes: Kids are allowed only on certain training levels and can't cash out (so it doesn't encourage them to sneak into more dangerous levels). They turn in their materials for government bonds of the CORRECT market value that they can only cash out when they reach the age of majority. If you get a guardian to sign some forms they can pay for a living allowance or something. The comedy can come from her taking out swarms of weaker enemies to get that living allowance and turning the kid-friendly training zones into something that looks like The Eclipse from Berserk.

I don't even get why the streaming is a thing, especially for minors. If you need to monitor everyone to make them follow the rules, just do normal CCTV. Or even the drones but don't make it public.

Specifically because it's dangerous. It's a disincentive, saying, "You won't earn anything doing this, it's dangerous and you could get hurt or worse. So leave and don't come back."

Nice to see everyone else is ripping apart the monumentally stupid policies. One more thing that hasn't been covered is that if they did set it up like that not only would the delver kids not haul all their trash back for so cheap they'd probably make things worse with homeless people and small children now flooding the dungeon to get access to the materials being left on the ground like trash leading to even more deaths when one of them inevitably goes deeper to have first dibs on materials.

If they don't want kids going in the dungeon just ban kids, if they still want to train some kids then just give them a license to go in the dungeon.

Honestly it looks like this was added purely to have the girl be poor, which makes no sense since there's already the perfect excuse of her being a Gacha addict. It'd be hilariously pathetic if she spends all her gazillions of rewards whaling on some unpopular gacha and singlehandedly keeping it in business and being dirt poor as a result.

I also think the policies are stupid - from an in-universe perspective - but let's not confuse that for poor writing. Unfortunately it's extremely realistic for a government to make a stupid policy that doesn't work for its stated goals. Especially if it lets someone exploit a worker for big money.

After all, if the government really wanted to protect kids from their own undeveloped decision-making ability, they wouldn't just forbid them from the dungeon, they would also forbid them from paid gacha. In fact it's brilliant to juxtapose this fantastical irresponsible policy about kids in dungeons with the very real policy on gacha.

I assume they don't outright ban junior dungeon diving because that'd slow down the production of new adventurers. Our MC is in some kinda adventurer school so clearly there's incentive there.

So basically it's a half-baked policy that only kinda works but covers up enough of the problem for politicians to ignore all the edge cases.
Which makes it extremely realistic!
