Is the protag a punching bag though?
Like he clearly doesn't just take it. The girls are just super willful and active is all.
He gets water for the blonde girl. When childhood friend asks, he says no, and Himari has to go get it.
He doesn't go along with talking about manga with the blonde girl because he sees there's a deeper problem and even after being called insensitive or whatever he doesn't capitulate.
I actually like these characters because none of them are really all that reactive. Except for the glasses girl romantic interest.
Everyone has things to do, and ask each other to do activities and participate in the group. Even if they don't want to be there they still have their own desires so they don't feel like background dressing to the lead characters.

I agree. I do think she's a potential romantic interest, but mostly because her outgoing and socially aware personality has the ability to change him for the better. Basically, if Himari's pushing him out of his comfort zone, she's the best positioned character to have activities to do.
Honestly, this manga has really good romantic interests for the brother. Both of them represent an aspect of him that has the chance of changing.
