Omg this is a shoujo manga! - That's me after 10 chapters
But really it feels like the author wanted to write a shoujo manga but the editor didn't let it. I think it would be better if it pulled more to one side or the other either more shoujo or more shounen, or maybe it's just to bland overall.

Also after reading the comments kei like the sister. I didn't get that at all but that makes sense so the guy ends up with the inchou and that's the manga, cus was wandering why they introduced her. But man for his standard childhood friend trope to be a lesbian must pitiful manga character ever.

I'm not into Yuri and I'm avoiding it, but I have read this since day one when the manga is only labeled as Slice of Life and never expected that Kei would bring this manga downhill to the ground and to think that the Shoujo Ai tag is only there solely because of Kei, I actually liked Kei at the 2nd chapter because She's a tomboy and the male lead's Osananajimi, I thought She has a thing for the male MC but I was proven wrong.
I agree with KazumaLee94's comments, people who are angry towards us people that only pointed out the flaw of this manga should understands more that this manga is just bad in every storytelling aspect and Kei just made it 100% worse (Except if you are some Yuri junkies fanservice chaser, you still can survive this though.)

And yup, Kei is the sole reason this manga is going downhill, without her, this manga would be still doing okay I believe, what a waste of good art.

There is a thing such as falling in love at first glance. That's not something that farfetch. Just for taking the most well known Yuri that is Bloom Into You, Touko fall in love with Yuu while barely knowing Yuu.

Edit : That doesn't change that people hating purely because she is a lesbian and not another childhood friend harem food are stupid. The homophobic atmospher of the comment section is disguting. Hate the character because she is bad written is ok but hate just because she is a lesbian isstraight up homophobic.

Oh, and tip for the future: avoid "seinen" gl works. They're not for you. "Shounen" might be hit and miss, but the former is definitely outside of your tolerance capacity (maybe even understanding, going by how you'd read "Beni tsubaki").

edit: that last sentence actually adheres to entire fanbase: you come, you read, you feel, you don't like what you feel, you downvote (and that's regardless of work's in question actual quality). gl is way less homogenized genre than you'd like it to be.
