You are correct. The "Yuri" was very forced, at first she seemed jealous of MC, like the 'childhood friend cliche/love riva'l but then BAM yuri all the sudden. To make it worst, Heroine timid personality and MC is not making the story any better.

Forced Yuri and bad writing huh.. and it started out so sweet and promising.... Well this spared a lot of my time not reading the rest of the crap. 1/10 and dropped.

A lot of the down votes are because of the poor story telling that the manga has and how unfocused it was. Some of them are because Kei is a very unpopular character and is the center of why a lot of the story was bad and unfocused. As for why it was axed. it could be a large number of reasons but the easy answer is it just wasn't getting a lot of readers.

I quickly swapped over the last 10 chapters. To be completely honest, its a pity how the bad storytelling ruins a good nice art like this one.
I don't think it's Kei's lesbian character the cause of it, because with a good story and character development she could have been a great sincere friend to the MC.
But the author saw his/her own incompetence and just axed it.
Next time: Just let someone do the writing who knows what hes actually doing! And again such a shame for the good art...

Well, some people just don't like yuri, so when the yuri elements were introduced they weren't happy and gave it 1s. Some people just don't Kei and so when she was getting more focus in the story, it annoyed them so they gave it 1s. Others just didn't like the male MC and so they gave it 1s, and some people thought this was going to be an incest romcom and felt like they were tricked when the male MC suddenly got less focus and every charter but him got more focus.

If you really want to know why people downvoted it just read the comments.

While there's nothing saying it was axed the last chapter did introduce a bunch of characters that were not in the story, that presumably supposed to be in the story. So it seems like it got axed. Why? Sells probably just tanked, Japanese readers most likely lose interest at some point.

People complaining about yuri, but notice there's no yuri tag. There's a good reason for that.

While one character is in love with the sister, the sister only views her as a friend and nothing more throughout the story. The girl doesn't even confess to her and accepts she and the sister are just friends and makes peace with that.

Just another case of readers overthinking it. It's a curse of those who read too much. Can't even get mad since I thought that too for a while.
