No. Seven seas is shit. Remember when they disagreed with the author of one series and insisted that the character that she said was a gay man was actually trans? That’s fine. Ultimately the purpose of scanslation is to provide translations of
- series which will never get official translations (yet)
- or ones which will take a while for them to be officially translated
What I’m trying to say is that an MTL’d chapter is still okay, with the consideration that the reader will purchase the official release when they get to that point.
…all of you guys are gonna support the official release, right?
Anyway thanks for the chapter Ginseng. I can’t believe we got Free! in a manga before Free! actually got a manga.
But scanslations can also be incorrect? Like literally half of Baki’s scanslations were of a guy making the translations up.No. Seven seas is shit. Remember when they disagreed with the author of one series and insisted that the character that she said was a gay man was actually trans?
I don't buy official releases anymore. I just buy the Japanese volumes and then read the scanlations.
You forget about the places with the same language but without any official releaseThat’s fine. Ultimately the purpose of scanslation is to provide translations of

I agree with this. If you people haven't yet, try using Gemini to read japanese web novel. It can be stiff but readable, easy, rather effortless, and doesn't require special skill. And LLMs has feature where you can set memo for recurring context, such as substituting specific terms. And you don't have to deal with real life pricks; if you say the cat is dog, the LLMs will be obedient (by gaslighting themselvesMadness rants aside, it was fine, and as I've said countless times before, MTL is perfectly OK as long as the prompts are made correctly. I've made translations into old English and they work pretty much flawlessly. Well, unless you MTL using crap like DeepL or Google Translate, then it's going to be crap and require a crap ton of QC.
You can even make the language model try to infer missing text due to bad scans, and it usually works out, or at least makes the text look and sound natural, which is a huge w (even if it's wrong :9 ) We're at an era where basic translations are done better using AI than by real humans, kinda sad, but also really helpful.
Depends, lot of mangas got overloaded by truly horrible MTL, which pushed other good translations away (even groups that were actively working on them).-The manga has been abandoned for over a year
No, it hasn't made it worse. It's made it tolerable. I'd MUCH rather have a MTL than no translation at all.
I think that is one of the biggest issues people have with MTL, though, because it's so easily noticeable and fixable with a single QA pass.and has the usual mismatch of pronouns in phrases
Koisuru (Otome) no TsukurikataNo. Seven seas is shit. Remember when they disagreed with the author of one series and insisted that the character that she said was a gay man was actually trans?
Interesting, do you know what the issue was with CotE?Koisuru (Otome) no Tsukurikata
Also not the only case, they also made alterations on Mushoku Tensei and Classroom of the Elite to downplay or remove certain elements, they eventually apologized and made corrections but its not these things didnt exist before or have gone way entirely.
I'm guessing a new version was uploaded that's broken. It's not loading for me, and it was marked as unread for me, even though I have read this chapter.I don't know what you guys are complaining about, it ain't even load for me
