we got that kind of lesson only after getting into middle school

I would hope other than like specific aspects of sex education, it'd be good to learn maybe a year or two earlier than when it happens to prepare for it since some parents don't talk about it at all, if not a doctor examination (although it's interesting how in some anime/manga series that the 'physicals' like measurements and stuff are done in the school itself rather than some weekend appointment unless it's part of some gov/healthcare plan or so [maybe it's a mixed up memory but i vaguely remember getting a vaccine or so in the school cafeteria itself rather than going to a doctor's office, but i imagine that's uncommon])
