They act as if Akiba could have a single fucking friend on social media lmao. What friend has anyone in this story seen Akiba with. What friend could he possibly have on social media that wouldn't have immediately blocked him after seeing his personality. it's not like he's ever gone to hide. Call his damn bluff. He has no reason to send it because the moment he does, he loses all leverage and gets beaten to an even finer pulp than Adachi suffered. There is no consequence to even sending it because no murder or assault on Adachi would ever be reported to the police so immediately this would be disproved or brushed off as special effects. Even further from that, the video would be taken down for having so much blood and guts that this has to be a terms and service violation on any social media platform. there has to be something against just broadcasting someone commiting murder right?
and let's say he does have friends, the phone's not on a send video tab, as long as he doesn't have the video backed up somewhere, he's literally waving the phone right in front of the lad and asking for him to smash it or delete the video. It's fucking moronic how many times he gets to get away with these "big brain" moments when having the slightest bit of foresight ruins everything. He can't even protect the damn phone because his grip strength will be nowhere near as good as the siscon's. the phone can be swatted away by a fucking five year old and he's left powerless. The best he could do is automatically turn off the phone and then they can find a way to jailbreak it after tying him up and letting him go only after they've deleted the video.

That’s not why he was still alive. He was still alive because Shibuya is probably going down with him due to not having a living partner. Laying all of his cards out on the table right now is the biggest mistake he’s about to make since existing because he’s giving people time to think about just offing him because nothing they have to deal with as fallout is worse than what he’s going to actively do to them. He has no more allies to call because he just utterly burned his last useful pawns for no reason. Adachi being a mental wreck means the person tasked with carrying out the strategy and networking portion section of their teamwork is gone. (Shibuya seems to mostly be morale and the social aspect.) I would not be taking any risks with whatever prize is about to happen for the handlers. Take him out and try to win with a handicap while Shibuya is stuck as a healing turret with her dresses as they learn how to dual box her.
The fact that he brought video/images back from the games is major since it means it means they actually provide proof of what’s going on to the world AND report what Anika has been doing. He can’t blackmail his way out of that because the blackmail only incriminates him further.

Laying your cards on the table only works when you have a good hand. He’s uniting them in hatred, giving them time to reevaluate their tolerance of him, openly stated he has beef with them all, openly stated he will take revenge on anyone he has a problem with at at the first oppurtunity while promising to enact some torture so bad that nobody who actually saw it is willing to discuss what happened, doubling down with the antagonizing
by showing off that he’s going to mindbreak them,and so on.
He does not have a good hand and he’s tossed cards he has that Can keep them in check (like the possibility of him not being a shithead for 5 seconds) down the drain. Maybe some people are different, but I’m not letting myself, or my little sister get tortured and/or sexually assaulted until mindbreak happens. Getting caught and going to jail sounds better. Any social backlash sounds better. He is unequivocally making sure that murder is on the table as the best option and doubling down with his actions in this chapter.

Any popular porn website forces the videos to depict only 18 year olds, not to mention if he uploads a video, ain't no way it gets popular. what's he gonna tag it with? torture? death? You also can't upload crimes and this tearing a person apart thing looks awfully like a crime to me. And try uploading a video on youtube and praying it goes viral. Fat chance it'll work.

It indirectly kills her because she can’t fight alone and 2 vs 3 is harder than 3v3. BUT it’s been shown that this general group is top tier enough to 2v3 most and players can manipulate other cabinets. It’s very bad for Shibuya, but if she were to be be played tanky while surrounded by bombs one of them could quickly swap to her or they could inception that shit by controlling somebody to control her. She’s in a bad spot, but still better than mr rapey Mc tortureface being left to his own devices with her.
At this point I would be taking my chances with being a freebie target every match while my friends try to get us out over being a freebie target for the rest of my life as the prizes going to the controllers means a way out of the game might not be her decision to make.
Even the worry that the game might reassemble his corpse to be alive exclusively for matches is gone at this point since all quasi logical reasons to not immediately attack him before going back to gaming is gone.

It's a matter of laying low until the game is over, remember they're still thinking the end is very close, it wouldn't be very wise to go nuclear before then with how much power Akiba holds over them right now (especially since Adachi going nuclear on Akiba is exactly how they ended up here in the first place). Just bearing with his abuse for now seems better than risking what he just inflicted on Adachi happening to you and those you hold dear.

And Akiba just torpedoed any illusions that laying low means anything. He only didn’t get to the rest of them because he timed out from what I gather from the last two chapters. Bearing his abuse means nothing as an option because he is displaying that the person they considered mentally strongest and most resistant to torture got broken. If he just sent her home instead of coming to everyone to brag that would be a valid point, but he’s going out his way to torpedo those options from the get go.
These last few chapters are the absolute worst I think, I am actually mad at everyone.

There are many many other places you could post a video and it'll spread around without relying on some platform algorithm to spread it around. Post it (the video or a link to the video uploaded elsewhere) on Twitter, Discord, Telegram, 2ch, Niconico, or LINE and while it may disappear before the day ends, it might be still be enough time for some people to download it and spread it around themselves.
