Well, this is an overall win, but I feel bad for the people that wanted Akiba crossdressing.

Also, it's a bit late to bring this up, but I think Shibuya is the only protagonist in any manga I've read that had a belly-button piercing, let alone one that is frequently flashed.

honestly? not really, shouldnt have happened to her in the first place, or anyone in this game for that matter. the game is designed to force woman to trust fucking neckbeards who no life games in order to escape the hellscape. utter dredges with zero to little social skills who get to do whatever they want with the girl until the game shuts off and force them to do degen teir shit for protection. but if we cant have good ending shibuya who manages to escape early and find a decent player, id want to at least watch her take akiba and grind him into fucking paste.

He’s perfectly capable of understanding cause and effect even if he can’t empathize. That’s why sociopaths are the often good at manipulation and scary in their own right. They can still empathize (or a rough approximation of it in order to blend in) but simply don’t care about the info said empathy gives them outside of furthering their goals.
The real issue for him right now is he’s too narcissistic to truly make the effort to think outside of a self based narrative even when his own life is on the line. He‘s approaching it in a “what would I do?” manner instead of understanding that she might think in an entirely different manner than he does. His torture and sadism is no different in his eyes than his mom theoretically spanking him for stealing too many cookies.
