I saw "adaptation" in the tags and got so excited to read ahead so I could really enjoy the adaptation for what it is, only to hit dead ends on finding the LN. Is it still hosted somewhere or did serialization unleash the DMCA patrol lol? either Mandarin or English translations ideally but atp I just really want to read this story!

Among all the stories that the author wrote, this one is the best yuri novel but the romance is sooo sloooow burn (all the other stories the MCs start smooching in the first chapter). But you can really feel the MCs genuinely care about each others and they are being torn between duty and personal feelings... Truly happy that this novel made it to the manga ❤️

Considering she's several countries away at this point, I do wonder if the set up & ambush from chapter 1 will have any consequences. I do like the premise and the art so far (it does worry me that the rather plucky maid is not on the cover art).

lol @ the noble lady being like "erm, a bodyguard, wdym" and either protesting against her maid deciding to hire bodyguard person (or potentially even not wanting to involve the bodyguard? maid didn't let her finish the sentence) when there are 6 armed assassins standing right next to them with a stated intent to kill her

unless they're gonna reveal that the noble lady (or at least the maid) is actually also an amazing combatant that is some severe lack of self-preservation
