Did the fight at least enjoyable?
honestly, in text, no. Hein uses Razorthread like Hellsing's Walter. the Hihi'irokane Souleater isnt bad that Shurine has on the coverarts. Shurine herself has a good battle but Hein gets most of the upcoming battles and at least in text, her combat is ass.
...since you seem to have read ahead of where the manga is, do you know if there's a good place to read the light novel in english?
no, i read it on Syosetu. This author has an extremely nasty habit of trying to switch protagonists in series without also developing the alt-protagonists. it worked in Mercenary Girl's School Life because the second PoV character is the GF and you can see her getting progressively more gay for protag-chan there. Hein conversely is completely static here. in the gay vampire story on the front page currently (To be a Hero even after becoming a vampire) it works primarily because we are only actually with Yuri for like, 5 chapters, and the story is very much about Rinslett being split between her idealism and the grim reality she is forced into. Their other longrunning series ive read though it goes very badly with
this blends with the whole A-Plot around Duchess Lutecia to rob any real sense of urgency or coherency in events. I could legitimately describe the plot astowhere Togoru Saso wrote it to, and it still wouldnt make sense.
btw ive reported all of these series to Mangadex and the name is still not consistent for any of them. as far as i understand it all 3 series should be under Togoru Sasa as an author.
In which the knight is going to die too because of plot armor!
no, Shurine's education is actually well covered and while she does asspull a power for the final currently written fight, its one that fits her already established skillset and fighting style
