As someone with severe insectophobia (which apparently is being called entomophobia these days, go figure), I have to say she did a remarkably admirable job of pushing through the anxiety so that Ai-chan could have a good time. Kudos to her for that.
I'd definitely have trouble with it, especially as it got into the night part of it (insectophobia is bad enough when you can see, visually keep track of, and maneuver around the bugs, so throwing nighttime into the mix is hellish), but I can definitely empathize with the struggle to not let your phobia ruin things for the people you care about.

This was a nice chapter. Not every manga needs to be full of blood and gore to be entertaining in my opinion.

Makes we wonder what will happen once her senpai goes to college and she is left behind. I have been wondering the same with the manga called Nagatoro for a while

The highlight of most romantic manga/ manga with romantic elements is the "getting together".
After that, there are three options:

1) Their relationship keeps developing and their relationship keeps changing

2)Their relationship gets stagnant due the lack of development after they get together. (The final blow for 90% of all romantic manga)

3) The manga ends after they get together.

For this manga option 2 seems most likely.

Pastel went on for an absurd amount of time despite hovering on option 2 for most of the run. It can be done.
