I dunno given some peoples resistance to vegetarian food I could absolutely see "let's go to space to find new meat to eat" being the preferred option...
The resistance currently is because there's meat available if there wasn't people would just eat vegetables. I may prefer meat but between the choice of developing vegetables flavours that taste better or spending god knows how much resources on trying to find aliens to eat and a good chance most of them being inedible to us, I think most people would prefer the former .

Bro is trying real hard not to say 'we killed each other endlessly until we got tired of killing and made borders'. There's that 'tact' training coming in clutch.
To be fair, the Kemos basically went through the same, they just stopped warring far earlier thanks to beneficial trade relations and reduced competition due to ecological niches.

MC is likely trying to avoid giving them ideas, which is why he is holding back the darker aspects of mankind.

They would likely imitate it.
see this here is called uranium 235, this here is called hydrogen. when you fuse hydrogen with itself into helium, it causes a big boom!

and this thing here is called mustard gas, very yummy!

"Our intelligence had nothing to do with our races."
Bunch of lies. Though the story has already got a whole setup where the race defines your attributes so maybe that statement is just the Japanese author trying to stay humble.

There are a bunch of unrealistic presuppositions we'd have to make if a singular japanese astronaut was the only one to be able to make it to this
Actually, leaving the language thing aside, there is only one truly unrealistic thing about this series: That this guy signed up for a suicide mission, because for all purposes and intents, letting yourself getting frozen and shot decades to centuries into the future is insane. Unless an apocalypse happened back on earth...?

Anyway, I am not sweating the details. It's cute and wholesome, I doubt it's trying to be deep. It's a series about space furries :nyoron:

"Fortunately, those borders gave us more reasons to kill each other, so we didn't need to stop"
