anyway yes it was too easy to see there was a woman inside the armor.

the girls are absolutely brutal to him about his interactions with women because-- putting aside how shit like this just always happens-- in the original text he's a 24/7 horndog and basically a serial molester (when he's not somehow groping a woman he's just met for the first time a few seconds ago, he's making clothes for every other woman he's ever met & using "measurements" as an excuse to whip out infinite hentai tentacles to do what you'd expect infinite hentai tentacles do, even though he has all the mental & perception buffs to instantly calculate all of that shit at a glance from a distance...)
putting aside the topic of their constant state of dubious consent, it's at least obvious that they put up with it because he's basically an invaluable resource thanks to his ability to create/do anything anyone could ever want with ease; but he's constantly getting into fights or just (literally) destroying himself via lack of forethought, the only consistent way to slow him down is via sex and the only way to stop him from going even wilder in regards to that is to crush his ego so he thinks women (aside from the 2 he liberated from beyond the grave) only tolerate his presence for his utility
in the manga so far the class prez is basically portrayed as a future love interest, but in the LNs she's treated by the other girls as a future live (unwilling) sacrifice to his lust to hopefully slow him down a little bit more since 2 super-powered women aren't enough to tie him down well enough

anyway inb4 the LN tls catch up to the manga & the entire fight is just him thinking about how hot the woman under the armor must be because of the shape (like he constantly does with any other woman in armor) & there's at least a few full paragraphs of him thinking about how to use the curse-breaking to cop a feel & play it off as an accident since that's just how the LNs go lol
(oh and he has no inner monologue btw so he'd be saying it aloud without realizing, and in that context the girls only going "really dude?", only after the armor breaks, becomes a shockingly light punishment)

last i checked the LN translations stopped just before this church invasion arc so I have no idea what actually happens in that version of this arc

but you're at the current volume of the manga..? I mean I guess I'm sorry to put you off of it by spoiling you on the drastic tonal shift that happens as soon as he meets (revived) Angelica (that's the only difference, the events are otherwise the same as has happened here), but like, I personally wish I had advance warning about it... if you've read the manga thus far you've been reading what I personally feel is the superior version, since the lack of horny gives it a focus that the novels utterly lack. the only thing that kept me reading was sheer spite to get ahead of the manga (which i'll admit is why I got even more bitter when I finished, upon realizing it's not there yet) because it's honestly not even hot due to the way it's written, it's just hyperfocused on being horny to the detriment of all else. imo the best chapters are the ones from other characters' POVs since they're back to the manga's tone where it's a little goofy but not obsessing about sex for most of the word count...
