I'm guessing that the MC completely forgot about how the 'fake dungeon' was formed out of a gigantic stone golem. Instead of blowing it up, just have it deposit all of the soldiers back at the entrance, then turn back into a moving mountain and drive them all away.

And this folks is why you kill an invading army and not just injure them and return them to the start of a dungeon.
There is actually some military merit to not killing them. Every soldier he kills is just one less soldier out of the fight, but each one that he injures but lets live is potentially two or three out of the fight as they drag their buddy to safety.

Injured soldiers also cost resources like bandages, potions, and mana for healing spells, and these don't guarantee they quickly regain a battle-ready soldier at the end. Eventually there's a tipping point when the healers just can't cope with the added bodies anyway. Even if they do heal everyone back up, they go right back into the trap/Angelica grinder.

Then there's a greater cost to the invaders as each casualty is going to consume more resources without contributing to the fight. They still need to eat just as much, but now they likely need to be moved if they can't do so on their own. This is horses and wagons that can no longer be used for fighting or carrying supplies. Adding more horses and wagons for carting casualties just increases the cost of the invasion by a considerable factor, since horses eat quite a lot, and there isn't exactly a lot of grassland for grazing in this mountain pass. Leaving the injured soldiers behind not only means splitting up the logistics (again, they still need to eat and receive medical care) but doing so is a huge morale hit that definitely affects the fighting strength of the uninjured. Nobody wants to think that they'll be the next one abandoned if they get hurt, so they don't fight as hard.
