I mean the amount of time it gets dragged on won’t really change the impact that much as she already knows she doesn’t love her back like that at this point

If anything it’ll be the revelation of it being her mother, but with the type of series this is I expect a little bit of crying then a funny light hearted moment and ultimately being fine with it

This chapter is actually brilliant when I think about.

First, you’ve got Hinata stressing over the presumed confession so much that she misses the early warning signs her body gives her, which has happened to me many times.

But more importantly, Hazuki, noticing how stressed Hinata is comes to the realisation that confessing to your friend while they have a lot going on is only going to stress them out more. So she makes the mature decision of not confessing, and instead just reminding Hinata she is there for her as a friend. It’s actually the best decision, it gives everyone time to figure out what they want without putting undue stress on any of their relationships. It might actually bring them closer in the long run than confessing too soon would have. In a drama, Hazuki would have thrown caution to the wind and confessed anyway, and caused a huge mess because drama.

Also, anyone notice that these comments are fetishising the pee gag when the manga didn’t. Y’all have dirtier minds than titular couple.
