Yeah, this is definitely trending toward rewarding Mizuki, or at least not punishing her for everything she's done this entire series.
The fact she's having an affair with a minor aside (and is the one being pushed around, no less), it's the betrayal toward her daughter that will go unaddressed that's just sad to see. The tone of this series is just way too light for any realistic consequences to befall her, though, so I'm giving up on actually seeing some sort of comeuppance for either her or Hinata in all of this.

Feels real bad for Mao and Hazuki. I kinda want them to get together now--and secretly--only for them to get found out by Mizuki, just to see what she does once she finds out.
It would only be fair, in my mind.

Also -- @yuki0907u you need to fix the pronoun usage from Hinata on pages 12. When she's talking about Mizuki wiping off her(Hinata's) sweat, you have the two reversed.

p.12, panel 2 -- Hinata should be saying "...is it okay if you wipe off my sweat?"

And on page 13--if Hinata is "talking as though she were Mizuki" in referring to herself in the 2nd Person while wiping herself down, I would put those lines in quotations to reflect that. At present, it reads like Hinata is somehow speaking as Mizuki, and I thought you straight up got the pronoun usage incorrect until I read it back a couple more times for context clues.

thanks i was literally thinking something was wrong 😑 with it but..
I will fix it and re-upload it and delete older one 😅
Soon
edit: hmph I checked the panel 13 i think you are mistaken like she is giving /play by play .as mizuki was thinking or would said that I think I can’t think of any other reasons though.if i’m wrong please do correct me 👀

God damnit Hinata just say yesssssss why are you like this?! ><*

Mizuki, supporting Hazuki's love life is fine, but so is supporting your own, and if Hinata doesn't feel the same way about Hazuki then what is there to support?

Also, is cheating actually illegal in Japan, or is that just Mizuki exaggerating? Or a translation error?

Right--I realize now that Hinata is speaking as though she were Mizuki in those two panels, but as-is it doesn't read that way at face value.

If you put the text of those two speech bubbles (Hinata's dialogue in the 3rd and 4th panels) in quotations, then it would be more readily apparent that she's "speaking as Mizuki", and not as herself. Because the way it is now, it just looks like you mixed up the pronouns again.

Quotation marks should be used in those sorts of situations, where one person is mimicking/miming/otherwise "speaking as" another character.

Mizuki, supporting Hazuki's love life is fine, but so is supporting your own, and if Hinata doesn't feel the same way about Hazuki then what is there to support?

Everything I can find says adultery is no longer a criminal offense, but it can carry heavy social consequences, including being taken to civil court by the injured spouse (like, not just divorce, but actually suing the cheating partner & the one they cheated with), as well as just general community ostracizing because it's such a taboo in their eyes.
That said, Hinata being a minor is very much a criminal matter, and so Mizuki would get the legal book thrown at her, on top of all the social fallout of her image in their community being ruined.

And, it would carry over and affect Hazuki, Mizuki's husband, Mizuki's own parents (if alive), as well as Hinata's family. Social harmony and "public image & honor" are big deals in Japan, and this sort of thing gravely besmirches that, in a way that would cause blowback on even those only associated with the two offending parties. So realistically, if Mizuki gets found out...it would actually ruin her daughter's life, because she'd be painted with the stigma of her family member's deviancy and treated effectively like she is also a guilty party. (Or, she would at best be heavily pitied by everyone, but would likewise still be 'other'd' by those who knew her, even if only by reputation.)

Illegal or not, Mizuki is a horrible adult, mother, friend, person...

i can't agree with the people calling Mizuki a terrible adult.
she's a great mother and i think she's the one who suffered the most.

she deserves her happiness.
also she needs to divorce that guy.

in the abstract, she's carrying on an affair with a minor.
That's not a good look in any case, especially when we know her friend from high school is still carrying the torch for her, so it's not like Hinata's even the only choice for gay lover.

She's also seemingly not unhappy with her life, though it's clear that she has been suppressing her sexuality because of the whole "going with the flow" thing. If anything, her husband is the injured party, from a legal perspective, especially since it's Mizuki's just living off his salary and carrying on with said affair with aforementioned minor while doing it. He's off earning all the income for the three of them, and she's cavorting with a school girl, somehow behind both his and her daughter's back.

Yes, Mizuki deserves happiness. She doesn't deserve happiness at the direct expense of other people. Especially if she's also going to be a "great mother", given how affected Hazuki is in all of this, before she even knows it's her crush that her mother is sleeping with.

Hazuki's crush is one-sided, though.
by next year, it'll no longer be an affair with a minor, and Mizuki is most likely going to divorce her husband.
it'll be a good ending.
Hazuki has her entire life ahead of her, while Mizuki was limited and confined most of her life.

i think the contrast here is pretty clear.

Thanks for the translation! Guys, please keep in mind that this manga is in comedy genre and not drama
