I forget, why are they trying to make the dungeon popular? Doesn't it make more sense just to go full merchant and sell items directly?

That solves the short term problem, but it doesn't solve the long term issue of getting people to the town. By giving people a reason to stay in the town, people will slowly start to settle, start businesses, and establish themselves within the town, and by the time they are done, let's say 10 years from now or whenever they plan on stopping, people will have moved into the town, set up businesses, and help circulate the economy, giving the town a way to grow that doesn't require the dungeon.

It's also much harder to trace items that randomly spawn in a dungeon than two sellers that have access to a seemingly endless supply of magic gear, making them less susceptible to shady people trying to steal their secrets.

In Japanese, much like humans are counted in units of people 人, gods are counted in units of pillars 柱. The suggestion is to summon a god, not a pillar belonging to a god.

I mean, the world isn't in a state of decline that we know of. There isn't a demon lord threatening their existence. So, whatever is going on in this society, it's not something that needs intervention. The Demons/Gods could just be Bored, with their repetitive stuff. You're in a real problem if you give them TV and they become NEETS, though.

Usually in story like this the dungeon need dungeon point.if we assume that the store use dungeon point to make the item,then they need people to come to dungeon so dungeon can get dungeon point from intruders and then the circle can be repeated.
