Everyone respects his extreme competence. To many nobles, he's a tragic figure who's always been kneecapped from reaching his true potential what with Veronica and being sent to the Temple. Plus, he's described as very good looking. And he puts on his charming mask with almost everyone. Because of all this he's put on a pedestal of sorts and admired as a sort of underground idol.

Only the Archducal family knows how much of a sourpuss nagger he really is.
