@gum_rummy - I still want to view that they actually merged. The story did directed in the interpretation of "overwrite", but her behavior fits much better as a kid than as an adult. And she is recalling memories that belongs to "old" Main - which means she is "old" Main who then got flooded with a bunch of memories of a previous life.

That said, "old" Main probably didn't develop that much of an identity. Being like a 4-year old and spending most of the sick probably means she haven't "develop" that much of an identity. Unless one view the childish actions of the early chapters is reflective.

If you have a problem with a user, you can ignore them. Let's not do this in chapter discussion threads, thanks.

This series may, intentionally or otherwise, kind of show how children are often more open to weird ideas than adults. The parents and other adults think somethings abnormal perhaps, but in that one special Turi was the one initially pushing that something seemed especially weird. Then Lutz, who admits here that he barely even knew the original girl anyway, was the one who was able to ask something as weird and wild as the old "Who are you and what have you done with X" completely seriously. Even in a world with magic like this one, the whole bodysnatcher type of thing might be a bit crazy sounding.
