one part of this series i love is the complexity of the high society/noble and the clueless myne bulldozing thru every acts/customs that they consider to be the norm 😁
I like how imposing they make damian seem at this time to others at this time despite him being a weak lay noble. And paru cakes remain his favorite all through
That said, those challaces are very important event despite it seeming minor at this point
They are handed over to another dutchy and used by them at a later point to tarnish the mc and her duchy because when the challaces get cut off, they blame them for it (of course they hide that Myne was the one who filled them and take credit themselves)
Also, another interesting thing is at one point the author was contemplating making the bishop the good guy and Fernand the bad guy. But that never came to be.

I can't fathom why he'd toss those on the ground in a bag. All the chips and dings in the metal cups would freak me out. Store them in a segmented box or something if you want to toss them about.
