I always find it silly how much people pick on the first chapter, as if from the first chapter the girl was repeating the same problem as always.

To recap a comment I made a few posts ago: the story is about teenagers, and they are learning to deal with their own feelings. It's quite simple.

What makes this so boring is the fact that Sunao can get over this all by himself. Lemon has done squat to address the brutal/trauma/gave up/three years thing from chapter 1.

It's been so many chapters of awesome Lemon in awesome events, but... okay? So is Kogahara. This would have been much more interesting if it just went her direction from the start. Lemon's input isn't even needed here.

When I stopped reading this at the start of the beauty pageant arc, I assumed this would get resolved by the author showing what a lovely door mat personality Sunao has. That's the most logical way to keep Lemon in a main role and to also keep putting the original conflict off after so much generic school event filler.

When the forum posts lit up I thought okay, maybe it's finally time to see if it's going to be that predictable. Unfortunately it is.

The premise alone was enough to propel a good story. But okay. I didn't put in the work, so I don't have anything to complain about.

The author and artist (and the translators too) need to take a break too, yo! But it looks like there is one illustration after every three chapters, so they are basically taking a break once a month. I think that is okay.

Usually, when another manga ends abruptly, it is because it got axed or the author or artist had health issues. I hope that by doing this, they will stay healthy.

I don't see it making any difference at this point though. Damage is done (well, WAS done, but ch.1 sunao no longer exists). How can you regain that trust? Even if that wasn't true, that's still a lot of trauma to cause to someone out of blue and she doesn't really care about it in the end. Not as much as to just tell him the truth as soon as possible. She still thinks she has a chance regardless of the lie. Her thought process is pretty whacky to begin with. Imagine still going after someone from way back while still knowing what caused you to drift apart.

Finally some progress. A lot of the Romcoms are suddenly racing forward.

The last one I just read was My Dress-Up Darling and now (to a much, much smaller degree) this one. Next thing you know Kanokari will have Chizuru kiss Kazuya.
