I think this is now just a bodyswap slice of life manga. Ignore the romcom beginning. Totally different story.
Adaptation happen because the source material was popular. I'm just saying how ass this film shooting arc has been. I'm no literary god but when majority of the people feel the same way and only hand full of people seems to be defending the story, that has to mean something right? This manga is an one trick pony which it is going to ride it to the end it seems. At least make the chapters interesting. Instead we get another chapter praising lemon. Like come on what are we doing here. Someone said how this chapter has message saying not judge anyone but are we sure this manga's demographic is little older for that message to matter?Right, web novels written by random japanese teens are the literary standard we should be striving towards.
Brother cheating is the one of the most hated thing in the world. Of course people are going to have problems with it. You can't just set it aside like not mentioning the literal elephant in the room. I don't know what life experience you had to be not bothered by the cheating plot but this is an ass take.tldr this was meant for people in their 20s to chill to, but the stupid cheating plotline saddled it with an edgy teen reader base
Right from the very start we knew she didn’t cheat. It was a dumb lie.Brother cheating is the one of the most hated thing in the world. Of course people are going to have problems with it. if only.I Hope You're Happy, Dogwelder
How is the reason not important? That is literally the reason they are swapping(ch1). If you are going to use a macguffin to revolve the plot around you can't simply throw it away. So, why am I reading this? because sunk cost fallacy. I'm too invested in this trainwreck to pull out now. I like the story? no. is it entertaining? no. But I want to know the reason that's all.Right from the very start we knew she didn’t cheat. It was a dumb lie.
Look, most likely the reason she wanted to breakup was boring. She didn’t find him sexy and didn’t transition well from friends to lovers, she was wanting to dedicate time to study, she was bored, etc. Thats absolutly fine. Most school relationships don’t make it past school.
It won’t be because she was abducted by aliens who demanded she breakup, or transformed into a magical girl and had to remain a virgin to keep her power. If you can’t deal with the fact that the reason she wanted to breakup was booring, STOP READING. There is no real mystery here!
If you were actually paying attention to the manga, they showed a little subtle flash back where it was implied she was being bullied behind her back. This is most likely the reason why she broke up with him. She didn't want Sunao to get involved with her.Can we know already why did she lie to him? I guess not.
This tbh. That was my favourite part in this chapter.the conversations between these college guys are actually pretty realistic
There was no cheating. You are fixating on a 13 yo girl lying to her boyfriend, which I guess is OK if you're 13 yourself, otherwise it's kinda weird.Brother cheating is the one of the most hated thing in the world.
No, the reason was her making a wish upon the shooting star in ch1. And the wish was probably something like "can I make it up to him" or "wish he could know what I felt/experienced".How is the reason not important? That is literally the reason they are swapping(ch1).
Have you ever got bullied in school? If so, the person who bullied you suddenly came back to your life and started acting like nothing happened, what will you do then? If I was the bully and had a change of heart and wanted to reconcile with the people who I have done wrong in the past, I would say so. I won't be pretending like it never happened. It may not be a problem from bully's perspective but the person who got bullied or had terrible time because of the bully they won't see it that way. Atleast I won't. I have no reason to change my beliefs until you show some remorse about it. I know all manga's are built on this "misunderstanding" which can be dealt with 5 mins of talk but why are you defending the awful behaviour? Would you want to be with someone who's trait is to just bury the problems and pretend like it didn't happen? I won't. And lastly, from your "13 year old" comments I can accurately say that you never had these kind of problems in your life. And had to deal with those kinds of people in real life. It's okay if you want to pretend real life is all sunshine and roses but it's not. There was no cheating. Because this is about understanding other people and not seeing them as black/white caricatures, even if they hurt you (literally what this chapter was about, yet the only clown takes most of you got out of that was that it was a boring nothingburger). It's about forgiving, ultimately. The MC understands that now, maybe you will too someday. But until then, you're not gonna get any joy out of this manga.
You hit the nail on the head (speaking as a 20-something-y/o chilling to this manga). Really enjoying the cute art and it's easy to tell the translation team has love for the series as well so it doesn't get boring even if the plot is slow burning.tldr this was meant for people in their 20s to chill to, but the stupid cheating plotline saddled it with an edgy teen reader base
"That happened in chapter 1"That happened in chapter 1.
Unfortunately this series has a massive mismatch between what it is and what most readers want it to be. The gimmicky "my ex cheated on me" plot point attracted the wrong crowd, and then the author pivoted into what she probably wanted to draw from the start, which is a college setting slice of life/romcom sorta story, almost a josei manga really. So now these chapters are skimmed on a weekly basis by people incapable of reading anything but isekai trash and moronic web novels, who would otherwise not touch a series like this with a 10 ft pole and who, if the comments are any indication, seem to regard any kind of subtlety in the manga as a personal insult.

Is this an airport where you need to announce your departure?Officially dropping this.
She didn't bully him, all she did was dump him in a bad, childish way. In fact, she was probably the one getting seriously bullied, as the flashbacks indicate. And the guy gets all of that, that kids do stupid shit, that one mistake isn't the same as being constantly malicious, that she lied, that she obviously had some bad shit weighing on her to even do that, that she still carries that trauma and finds it hard to talk about their breakup as a result, and so on. And you're here being angry that he's a mature character and calling forgiving someone for something they did as a child unrealistic writing.Have you ever got bullied in school? I do yeah. She was basically his best friend and she then cut ties with him, that's always gonna hurt, and she's way too smart to not see that. I'm assuming she'll legit apologize at some point, but it's obvious she can't deal with or talk about that period easily. He doesn't seem too eager to broach the subject either, which I kinda get - it's awkward and traumatic, and they're in a place now where they're just lowkey enjoying each other."That happened in chapter 1"
you believe so ?
all i remember is that both FMC and MC were super easy going with their relationships so far, no drama about it at all, nothing really talked about, not with each other at least (which is what really counts)
Here ya go then...Did anyone else just feel like this whole chapter was really awkward? I can't tell if there was a point or not.

It's like watching a car crash in slow motion. Even if I don't like it, I find it weirdly fascinating.
