Oh my god he’s genderbent Ai Mie from The Girl I LIke Forgot Her Glasses (SukiMega). I just read the manga for that before this, so it just clicked seeing him trying to function without glasses. I dunno how I didn’t notice when I saw the anime… though maybe I didn’t see the SukiMega adaptation first, so that’d explain it…

Of course, nearsighted people aren’t nearly so bad as they’ll run into doors or walls or shit. I never understood that sort of gag. I’m glad Fujichika Koume-sensei didn’t make Mie-san unable to navigate in SukiMega- she was quite functional except detail work and going somewhere new when she didn’t have her glasses, which is exactly how it should be.

Admittedly, this guy came before Mie-san, pretty sure (I assume he came from the original webcomic?), but whatever.

The hell are you even looking for, to be honest? At this point, the core relationship has nearly every milestone achieved, so to speak. They’ve reached the final level of intimacy, and even revealed and experimented with Hori’s M kink. At this point, it’s slice of life and maybe getting the supporting cast hooked up until graduation, and maybe a marriage proposal is in the cards, but I feel like it won’t be anything particularly flashy. When has this story ever gone all that hard for the relationship milestones? A lot of their firsts just kinda happened naturally, and I figure a proposal might not be any different, if you’re not here for the slices of these lives, not sure what you’re here for.
