the school arc are just that a background for all the main character to connect and gather,
if the title say anything about the story, this story still in character introduction part.

Paper as the new and revolutional invention in a early renaissance setting is actually a weird choice. Not only that, the author use the most traditional and inefficient way to make them too. In fact they could had used printing-press as it is not only easily replicated but can have unprecedent effect on society, which can be a strong plot point to use here.

I’m guessing the printing press is their next step. Same tech path used by bookworm. Though I think the “less than twice the price of parchment” should be a significant understatement.
