This is surpsisingly cute. Also, even though the male lead is a bit.. useless, unlike most male MCs, he actually seems like a real, likeable person, and you can see why the heroine might fall in love with him.

I suppose you could have tried preserving the home/family mixup with, "[Ask him about his] home life" (to contrast with school life, where they meet), but the end result is a home visit all the same, so it's not a big deal.
