I'm only now coming to understand that these manga adaptations of romcom light novels are like the manga equivalent of Dick Wolf procedural dramas. MC is a guy who thinks they're better off alone and has no friends but is also best friends with an outgoing attractive guy who upon first on screen interaction prompts him about how he feels about hanging out/having a girlfriend but then one day by a surprising twist of fate MC ends up in a "secret relationship" with the beautiful and famous ice queen who is actually rather sweet but for now they're going to try and keep it casual and perhaps through this newfound sense of youth he will know what it is to have someone he can consider dear.

It's not even like it's bad it's just that it gets bad when you read too many of 'em.
